Peranakan Food and Culture Sharing

Have a taste of Singapore Peranakan culture!

Join us at The Blue Ginger, listed on Michelin's Bib Gourmand eateries 2017, and is famous for serving up a tantalising spread of spicy and aromatic traditional Peranakan dishes. You will get to learn how to cook Pong Tauhu - a flavourful meatball and bamboo shoot soup that is served only during special occasions. You will also learn how to make Assam Nanas - a delectable prawn dish with tangy tamarind flavours. Mrs Vivien Lian, consultant of The Blue Ginger since its beginnings twenty-three years ago, will share her kitchen secrets with us! Sweet and affable in disposition, this Nonya whips up a wicked spread of Peranakan cuisine.

A project brought to you by The Style Atelier and supported by the LearnSG Seed Fund.
